Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Located about 2.5-3 hours drive from Karatu. Flights arrive here from international hubs like Nairobi, Addis Ababa, and Dar es Salaam.

There are no direct flights into Karatu. You must fly into JRO and then drive.

By Vehicle

 Drive from Arusha, a paved road connects Arusha to Karatu, approximately 90km or 1.5 hour drive. Arusha has connections via road and air from across Tanzania.
